RACHEL JERAFFI'S PHOTOGRAPHY SELECTED FOR L.A. NUDES

Los Angeles, CA May 20, 2002 An award-winning photographer specializing in portraits of pregnant women has been selected for inclusion in this years L.A. Nudes photography exhibit. Rachel Jeraffi, whose work celebrates the beauty of women during their pregnancy, will show her work in the provocative exhibit opening July 6, 2002.

Jeraffi's photography shows the special femininity of pregnant women with understated, tasteful compositions and lighting. Her work has been singled out as a Gold Medal winner in the prestigious Creativity Annual, which highlights the best in international graphic design, arts and advertising. She has also been featured on The Learning Channel and in numerous local publications. By appearing in L.A. Nudes, Jeraffi hopes to encourage women to look at their pregnant body in a new way. "In my sessions, I try to make women feel beautiful, to see beyond the discomforts and focus on the miracle that is happening," says Jeraffi. "When those feelings are projected and captured on film, I feel that I have accomplished my goal."

L.A. Nudes is a biennial photography exhibit showcasing photography of nudes by leading photographers in the Los Angeles area. Entries in the exhibit range from elegant classical nudes to sado-masochistic erotica. The exhibit is scheduled to open July 6, 2002 at Photo Impact, 931 N. Citrus Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90028; 323/461-0141.

SHOW Gallery Opens New Space in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA, June 4, 2001 The newest space in Los Angeles showcasing modernist classics, contemporary art and custom furniture has opened in Los Feliz Village. Owner Bradley Cook has opened SHOW to offer his collection to the public. His showroom is a cool, elegantly designed 1,200 s.f. room at 1722 N. Vermont Avenue. Says Cook, "We're excited to provide our range of design products and services to one of LA's most interesting neighborhoods. There's no one else in Los Angeles who offers what we do."

In addition to displaying a number of 20th century design classics, SHOW provides clients the opportunity to own furnishings that are custom-designed to their specifications. SHOW has the design talent to create furniture pieces that are specifically tailored to reflect the design requirements of the individual user and their interior aesthetic. Previous custom designs have included leather club chairs, tables and consoles of exotic woods and upholstered seating.

Clients with a taste for vintage furniture and accessories from the modernist era will find hundreds of high-quality pieces available. Many of the furnishings at SHOW are current designs created by local furniture designers and ceramicists. SHOW also displays contemporary art from an international roster of painters and artisans; art exhibits change on a regular basis. In addition, SHOW craftsmen have the ability to refinish or reupholster furniture for those who are looking to update their favorite classic.
